Remote Control

It’s truly amazing with the assembly of networks, the ability to connect anywhere. As we move into the future, more and more things are going to be accomplished remotely. Things will be monitored via computers which will send status updates to remote location for centralized monitoring. For the most part, the technology is already there. It’s just a matter of the infrastructure catching up.
The coolest feature of the remote monitoring is the ability to upgrade and repair glitches from a far. Consider the technology used to monitor sattelites. It’s not like we send a repair man up there with 24 hour repair service!
But bringing it back to earth, many companies use remote control software to update their computers, especially for employees out in the field. I’ve been part of several companies that take advantage of remote control software and use it to take control of their computers from a remote location. It’s certainly more efficient.
With remote control software, the IT tech can take control and see the remote computer allowing them to troubleshoot through the control panel, download software and get a visual understanding of the problem. It’s much easier than trying to get a verbal over the phone.
Anyway, all of this technology is a result of assembling networks! As we always say, assembling is good!!!
